mrieger writes "By now, I am sure many of you have heard about the new WCTV show called Weigh To Go. Four Wadsworth City Employees have put their health & fitness stories on public television in hopes to change their lifestyles and physical health for the better. The first show aired January 2006. Shows will continue through December 2006. A new show is taped each month featuring educational information on topics in the health, fitness, and nutrition fields as well as an update on each participant. With the help of local professionals, family, friends, and people they have met because of the program, the participants are well on their way to happier, healthier lifestyles. As of the last weigh in, Jim from Human Resources has lost 14 pounds, cut back on unhealthy foods, and is well on his way to a successful long bike ride this summer. Nancy from the Center for Older Adults has lost 35 pounds, given up unhealthy snacks, and has more energy. JoLynn from Recreation has lost 3 pounds, lowered her body fat, and is feeling better. JoLynn found out she was pregnant after beginning the show and is very excited that she can remain active and feeling great. Mike from recreation has become more active, but still struggles with weekend eating. With continued community support, he is confident that he will have success before the end of 2006. The group would love to hear comments, stories, encouragement from you. If you would like to contact a member of the Weigh To Go program, send an e-mail to weightogo@wadsworthcity.org.
